Shri J. K. Mohanty, Chief of SWOSTI GROUP was conferred upon the rare diplomatic honor by RUSSIAN EMBASSY in a mammoth gathering of ambassadors from Commonwealth Independent States (CIS), Non-Aligned countries and dignitaries from other diplomatic missions at NEW DELHI on 19th January 2007. The award was given to commemorate the visit of Vladimir V. Puttin, President of RUSSIAN FEDERATION to INDIA on 26th January 2007 on the occasion of the 58th REPUBLIC DAY. A seminar titled “Sixth Decades of Indo-Russian Historic Relationship” was organized by RUSSIAN CENTER OF SCIENCE & CULTURE AND FOREIGN POLICY RESEARCH INSTITUTE, NEW DELHI as a prelude to the award giving ceremony.

 The honor captioned “Meritorious Award–2007 for Promotion of International Tourism and Hotel Industries in India” was given to Mr. Mohanty by Fybor A. Razovsky, Charge-D-Affairs, RUSSIAN EMBASSY and Director Russian Center of Science & Culture. The SWOSTI Chief incidentally became the first recipient of such recognition from the EASTERN INDIA in hospitality & travel industries.

From Eastern India Shri J. K. Mohanty, MHCIMA, CMD of Swosti Group became the first person to receive Rastriya Samman instituted by India International Council for Industries and Trade in its 13th national seminar held at New Delhi, which was jointly convened, by Health & Education Development Association and Economic & Human Resources Development Association. The award was given by Bhai Mohavir, Ex-Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
